Super excited to get to downtown Reykjavik and partake in the annual Gay Pride festival…
But Ice Queen is not so thrilled about the weather – cold, windy, and raining harder than it does in Seattle (if you can even imagine that)
Downtown Reykjavik – the calm before the storm
Over 70,000 people attended this event to show support for the cause – a true manifestation of Icelandic gay pride!
The beginning of the parade – there were some pretty amazing costumes (more explicit photos not included)
Enjoying the live concert – including some of Iceland’s most renowned artists
Despite the less than ideal weather, thousands of people braved the storm and gathered in the heart of Reykjavik to show their support! It was a pretty spectacular event and we were thankful to be able to participate in the joyful festivities. Remember to always “ride the energy of your own unique spirit”!
